I do not know when time began or when it will end. I do know, however, it is running out. The saying goes “There is a time for everything under the sun.” But I do not feel there is enough time to do what I want to do.
One thing I need to take time out for the next couple days is to put the outside garden to rest for the winter. All the plants, except maybe the Kale, are done growing. I need to harvest what I can and compost the rest. I need to take the time to build the compost up some more and feed the worm depository before it freezes over.
There is not enough time for doing but always enough time for being. So Time moves on, without or without us. But if we seize the moment time can slow down.
My friend in California informed today that the recent issue of the September Living Stones newsletter was on the Hope to Healing site now. He took the time from his busy life to do this.
I took some time today to do a fact sheet about the upcoming creative nonviolent action to end the war in Iraq. We will try to close the military training and recruiting center at a local Christian University. If interested you can check out the action at this Milwaukee 14 Today site at Cleanse the Temple
So today the work of the nonviolent worm was more tilted toward the nonviolence part. Maybe tomorrow we need to use more of the time on the worm side of life before time runs out.
